Holstein Housewares 5 Cup Coffee Maker – Compact Drip Coffee Machine with Auto Pause & Serve, Reusable Filter, Glass Carafe, Water Window & Warming Plate. Dark Grey & Rose Gold

Compact spaces benefit from appliances tailored to single-person or pair brewing, and this compact drip coffee maker delivers fresh coffee without demanding much counter space. Designed by Holstein Housewares, it brews up to 25 ounces across five cups, making it a natural fit for small apartments, dorm rooms, or a dedicated desk setup. The dark grey and rose gold metallic styling adds a modern accent to small kitchen corners without cluttering the counter area.

Everyday mornings move quickly, which is where the one-touch operation and auto pause feature stand out. A single press starts your cycle, and you can pull the marked glass carafe mid-brew to pour a steaming cup without leaving messy drips or spills on the hot plate. Once the brew finishes, the integrated non-stick warming plate keeps the remainder of the pot hot and ready until you want a refill.

Brewing convenience extends to preparation and cleanup as well. The unit features an integrated permanent mesh filter, eliminating the recurring purchase and waste of paper liners. You simply add your ground coffee directly to the basket, brew, and rinse the filter under running water. A transparent water window gives you immediate visibility into the reservoir level, while the measurement lines on the glass carafe ensure you pour in the exact volume you want.

The trade-offs center strictly on capacity. With a maximum volume of 25 ounces, this machine is not built for hosting dinner parties, catering morning family rushes, or filling multiple oversized travel mugs in a single cycle. Households that regularly go through whole carafes throughout the day will need to brew multiple batches back to back.

Verdict: For solo drinkers, dorm students, or couples seeking an uncomplicated compact drip coffee maker, this Holstein Housewares model delivers fast, single-touch brewing in a small, stylish frame. Those who need to brew for larger crowds or multiple heavy drinkers should consider a full-capacity coffee maker instead.

A great fit if you:

• Live in a dorm, studio apartment, or compact home where counter space is at a premium and a 25-ounce batch meets your daily routine.
• Prefer pouring your first cup immediately without waiting for the entire brew cycle to finish on busy mornings.
• Want to eliminate disposable paper filters by using an integrated, washable mesh basket for every pot.
• Appreciate straightforward one-touch brewing controls and clear carafe markings that simplify your daily coffee routine.

Consider something else if you:

• Need to brew multiple large travel tumblers or serve large groups, which requires a higher-capacity 10-cup or 12-cup drip machine.
• Prefer single-serve pod capsules or manual pour-over setups rather than a traditional compact drip machine with a shared glass carafe.

Confirm on the listing:

• Check the exact external dimensions of the housing to make sure it clears low-hanging kitchen cabinets or compact shelving.
• Check the length of the electrical power cord to ensure it comfortably reaches your intended wall outlet without straining.
• Review the manufacturer instructions regarding recommended ground coffee coarseness and cleaning procedures for the permanent mesh filter.

How to compare your options: When shopping for compact drip brewers, primary points of comparison include total liquid volume, filter format, and carafe construction. This model provides 25 ounces of capacity with a glass carafe, a non-stick warming plate, and a reusable mesh filter. If you frequently brew for several people at once, compare this five-cup capacity against larger standard machines to ensure the batch size matches your daily coffee consumption.

To establish good daily habits, rinse the reusable mesh filter promptly after emptying your spent coffee grounds so fine oils do not accumulate on the mesh.

Use the measurement markings on the glass carafe alongside the transparent water window to pour the precise amount of water you need into the reservoir before turning on the machine.

Take advantage of the auto pause feature whenever you are in a rush, but always return the glass carafe to the non-stick warming plate to allow the remainder of the brew cycle to complete smoothly.

If the machine came with a manufacturer care guide, consult it periodically for guidance on wiping down the exterior metallic finish and cleaning the warming plate.

Do I need to buy disposable paper filters for this coffee maker?
No, you do not need paper filters. It includes a built-in permanent mesh filter that you simply fill with ground coffee and rinse clean after each use.

Can I pour a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle finishes?
Yes, you can. The auto pause and serve function temporarily stops the flow of coffee when you lift the carafe, allowing you to pour a mid-brew cup without dripping on the plate.

How much coffee does this machine brew at one time?
It brews up to 25 ounces, which equals five standard cups, making it suitable for small households, dorms, and office setups.

Does the coffee stay hot after the cycle ends?
Yes, the machine is equipped with a non-stick warming plate that keeps the coffee inside the glass carafe hot and ready to drink.

What is the best way to clean the glass carafe and warming base?
Rinse the carafe with water after use and wipe down the non-stick warming plate according to the manufacturer instructions once the machine has cooled.
